Dolly Stevens

Dolly Stevens is the founding Artistic Director of The Growing Stage, Inc., an educational theatre company that has been entertaining audiences since 1994.

Directing credits include the majority of main stage productions for The Growing Stage as well as DAMN YANKEES at Handley High School and ANNE OF GREEN GABLES at Shenandoah University. Dolly has conducted numerous children's theatre workshops, and has taught acting and audition classes for both children and adults.

On the literary front, Dolly has co-written two original musicals, THE LITTLE MERMAID, and TREASURES, THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER. Currently, she is working on a play based on a true story about a young boy and his precious diary that was lost, found, and returned to its owner after 75 years.

Dolly holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and next year will begin pursuit of her MFA.
