Ann Baird
has been an artist and art educator in Loudoun County for 25 years. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and belongs to many private collections. Most recently, her paintings were shown in the King Street Studio gallery and the Loudoun County Government Center.
The inspiration for her mixed media paintings comes from a deep reverence for nature. Sometimes this translates into recognizable, representational forms; sometimes into more abstract pieces. Baird taught art in the Loudoun Public School system, most recently at Loudoun County High School, and has conducted many private classes and workshops for both children and adults. The founding president of the Loudoun Arts Council, Baird also served as the Chairman of the Loudoun County Art Advisory Committee, and on the Board of the Loudoun Ballet Company. She currently is a member of the Board of Directors of the Loudoun Academy of the Arts Foundation.
