Jack Lancto

Jack Lancto grew up in a small town near Lake Placid in upstate New York where he learned to appreciate the outdoors. He majored in painting at the University of New York's School of Art in New Paltz. Lancto moved to Loudoun in 1997 and now lives in Leesburg with his wife, Laura. For this painter, the Blue Ridge Mountains are a continuing source of inspiration. In oils or in watercolors, he paints land, sky, and mountain scenes. Fascinated with the art of cavemen, he also paints walls to look like cave paintings. Lancto's work is displayed in regional juried shows and in private collections. He also accepts commissions.
