The 2026 Annual Meeting for members of the Loudoun Arts Council will take place on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Douglass Community Center in downtown Leesburg.

The agenda for the evening includes:

  • An update from special guest Christina Schmitt, Dean of Non-traditional Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools, who will talk about the transformative effect the Arts have had for adult learners with disabilities who are incarcerated
  • The President’s Report on recent and future plans, including the formation of the Loudoun Arts Advisory Board, a handful of LAC Professional members who will bring their arts organizations’ experience and opinions to inform strategic and unified arts advocacy and communication efforts
  • The Treasurer’s Report on our financial condition and outlook
  • A Question and Answer session for those present — we want to hear your ideas!
  • Nominations and voting for new board members

All of our hard-working current members of the Board have offered to serve the second year of their two-year term. Plus we are thrilled to announce the addition of two new nominees, Margaret Brown and Kristin Sawyer, whose biographical information can be found here.

All current and prospective Loudoun Arts Council members are encouraged to attend! Douglass Community Center is located at 407 East Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176. Your RSVP will help us plan seating and logistics, so please let us know if you can attend or if you have questions.
