FIRST FRIDAY AT THE LOUDOUN ARTS COUNCIL SALON

Art and Music and Wine, oh my!!!

(c) Jan BlackaOn May 7, we are very pleased to present a digital art exhibit "Shouts and Lines" featuring our very own beloved webmistress, Jan Blacka. Jan creates nature-based digital art that invites us to join in the conversation between pattern, shape and color that swirls around us, often unnoticed...and she puts up with my incessant website update requests with aplomb! Jan is on the Fifth Annual Western Loudoun Artists Studio Tour Saturday, June 19, 10:00-5:00 & Sunday, June 20, 12:00-5:00, 2010

Outside, come enjoy local rock/blues band River Creek as they perform an eclectic mix of popular songs, showcasing the vocals of Christy Tallamy and accompanied by guitarists Chuck Simpson and Chris Shelton. We've got a few chairs, but for guaranteed comfort, bring a lawn or camp chair.

And many thanks to this month's sponsor Notaviva Vineyards, who will be providing wine-tastings and selling on-premises wine-by-the-glass, or bottles to take home! Come meet the husband and wife team Stephen and Shannon Mackey who "do not endeavor to create homogenous vintages, but rather allow the subtleties of each growing season to be captured in the bottle".

It all starts at 7PM. 5 Loudoun St., SE, around back from Madisonbelle.

The Loudoun Arts Council presents a fantastic line-up of Local Music, Art & Wine for First Friday, April 2!
