LOUDOUN ARTS COUNCIL LAUNCHES NEW LOGO

LEESBURG, Va. - The Loudoun Arts Council (LAC) announced that it has developed a new logo to express its mission of supporting artistic expression throughout Loudoun County. LAC will introduce its new logo on February 1, 2006.

Several area designers bid on the logo project. Following an extensive review process, the Arts Council selected Sparky's Garage, an award-winning advertising and design firm based in Leesburg.

"For us, home is where the art is, and we were happy to help out our friends at the Loudoun Arts Council with a new logo," Bill Replogle, partner and "chief mechanic" for Sparky's Garage said.

LAC board member and past president, Gale Waldron, initiated the logo project last spring. "It was time to refresh our image and to represent the Loudoun Arts Council as a foundation for the arts as well as a creative organization," Waldron said. "The new logo does that."

LAC president Jeff Stern, added, "The introduction of our new logo stresses the Loudoun Arts Council's commitment to continually support the growth of the arts in our ever-changing community. Our new logo is the public face of that commitment as we strengthen our existing programs for artists and audiences as well as continue to develop exciting new initiatives for the arts in Loudoun County."

The Loudoun Arts Council is a nonprofit organization that promotes the development of artistic expression throughout Loudoun County by supporting visual, performing and literary artists and arts organizations.
