DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE SEEKS VOLUNTEERS
Opportunities Abound to Support Nature and the Arts at Fall Showcase Event

LEESBURG, Va. - The Loudoun Arts Council is looking for volunteers for its 2006 Designer Showhouse, which will be open to the public September 27 - October 15, 2006. The Council will hold the 20-day event at the historic Rust Manor House in Leesburg, a 68-acre nature site owned by the Audubon Naturalist Society.

"Volunteers will play a major role in this year's Showhouse," commented Gale Waldron, Showhouse co-chair and Arts Council board member. "For those who have interests in the arts and nature, there will be many ways to support the event." Waldron added that all volunteers will receive complimentary tickets to the Showhouse.

Janet Eltinge is the volunteer coordinator for this year's Showhouse and she has identified a variety of volunteer opportunities, including room docents, ticket and furniture sales assistants, and directional and parking attendants. Volunteer opportunities are open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, race and ability. These opportunities are also extended to businesses and organizations interested in coordinating a volunteer program to feature their company and employees. Those interested should contact Eltinge at jeltinge@aol.com

Fourteen professional designers from the Northern Virginia region will bring their professional decorating talents to the rooms and garden areas of this stately home which will be open to the public September 27 through October 15, 2006.
