Loudoun Arts Council Elects New Transformative Board Officers

LEESBURG, Va. - New officers, elected during the recent Loudoun Arts Council (LAC) Annual Meeting, were nominated specifically to guide the transition of the LAC into a premiere arts council that will be a leader for the arts in Loudoun County. The new officers are: Rebecca Kite, President; Ken Shall, Vice President; Cindy Lowther, Treasurer; and Maggie Malick, Secretary.

President Rebecca Kite wants to revamp the LAC until it is "on par with the best and most effective arts councils in the country."

The LAC begins its transformation with a Strategic Planning Retreat moderated by Mary Ann de Barbieri on November 7. The retreat is funded by a grant awarded to the Loudoun Arts Council by the Virginia Commission of the Arts.
