"Looking Back" by Lis Zadravec"Looking Back" by Lis Zadravec Artist and teacher, Lis Zadravec, awarded Waterford Fair’s Best Loudoun Artist 2018, Lis has been teaching in Loudoun for over two decades. She is a multi-award-winning portrait artist and signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America and Coloured Pencil Community of Australasia. Many know her as the editor of the Loudoun Sketch Club’s newsletter. Born in Washington, DC, and having studied at the Corcoran School of Art, she spent her children's growing-up years teaching. Ms. Zadravec co-founded Crossroads School of the Arts in Herndon, Virginia, and has taught in many venues from Northern Virginia to upstate New York, to all ages, children through adult.

Lis teaches a well-rounded curriculum to children and teens, after-school and home-schooled. She teaches adult colored pencil workshops throughout the area. Her personal artwork is narrative portraiture in colored pencil. She says "A well-trained artist is a person who can do anything."
