Savoring the Last Days of Summer

The last part of summer is a mix of feelings, Sure there is still some summer left for relaxation, but the heat makes us start thinking fondly of the cooler, more energetic fall -- although as you'll see in our event calendar that there are still plenty of arts events and classes happening to keep you busy!

At the LAC we have been planning more events for the coming season. Our first LAC Trivia Night at Wild Hare was a great success (spoiler alert: The Loudoun Arts team won!) and we are working on offering this type of get together regularly. We are also planning a DIY art gathering in September, and for our annual membership Meeting in October (date to be determined soon). And as always, there is the work of Arts Advocacy. We plan to hit the ground running on those matters as they arise!

Saying YES to the Arts

On Tuesday, June 17 the new Comprehensive Arts Plan was approved by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. After almost 40 years of arts advocacy, we're happy to see this progress!

Thanks to all who attended, spoke, emailed, or just lent moral support to this effort. There is surely work ahead of us! We need to stay part of the process, and make sure that the funding needed for the arts initiatives included in the plan becomes a reality.
